£22,600 from the Small Grant Scheme for a new website and equipment to enable expansion of staff.
About Portable Space
A company which provides portable accommodation has secured two major grants within three years, which has set them on the path to growth.
Portable Space’s turnover in 2019 has rocketed by 16%, compared to the previous 12 months. This has made it the best year for growth in the company’s 17 year history, thanks, in part, to support from New Anglia Growth Hub.
The company, based in Stowmarket, offers shipping containers, container conversions and portable accommodation for use as offices and classrooms. It also undertakes specialist projects such as a custom-made container; a showcase in the National Maritime Museum’s history of transportation exhibition.
Realising Ambitions
The company was seeking to upgrade their website, expand their transport fleet and invest in tracking technology; but needed funding to realise their ambitions.
After a conversation with Mark Dolman, the Commercial Director of the company New Anglia Growth Hub stepped in, once again, to help.
“Our relationship has evolved over several years now and they’ve been fantastic” said Mark.
Growth Hub Business Adviser, Richard Glinn identified suitable grant funding and worked with the company to demonstrate how their projects and business met with the grant criteria, prepared paperwork for the grant bid, creating a compelling case.
As a result, Portable Space secured £22,600 in grant funding, helping to accelerate their plans for growth.
