Four new advisers boost business support team
- No Comments
Four new business advisers have joined the New Anglia Growth Hub team to help meet increasing demands from businesses to use their support services.
The Growth Hub, which is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund and BEIS (Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy), was set up in 2014 to provide a single point of contact for businesses seeking free face-to-face advice. It now has 14 advisers working face-to-face with clients to deliver quality tailored business support.
So far over 9,000 businesses in the region have been supported, with over 45,000 hours of advice provided. That’s equivalent to just under five years of business advice – 24 hours a day!
In 2019 – up to the end of October – it awarded small grants totalling £678,233 with private match funding of £2.6m and leading to the creation of 77 jobs.
The four new advisers add to the team’s already strong expertise, bringing specialist skills in sales, business engagement, consultancy and international trade.
Nigel Best, Growth Hub Manager, said: “It’s great to see the team growing and we’re glad to have new colleagues of such high calibre to join our existing, talented team. I’m sure that the qualities they bring will help us to meet the growing demand of businesses in Norfolk and Suffolk and their desire to grow.”
