Real talk with Business Adviser Anthony Goggin

Interviewed by Peter Golland from Business & IP Centre Norfolk, Anthony, explains the wide range of support that is available with various examples – including the workshops that are starting next week – and his own business experience.

🎙 As a strong advocate for a business plan, he encourages every owner to have one: “When you have a business plan you can use it as an ‘elevator pitch’ or for potential funders. It is your compass.” He also touches on the benefits of AI when developing your business plan.

He highlights that the Growth Hub team will try to find the best support for you – whether people need inspiration or are facing a particular challenge.

Interesting facts whizz by when he quotes statistics from the Department for Business and Trade stating that small to medium-sized businesses (SMEs) make a large contribution to the economy and account for 61% (of the total employment) in the UK contributing £2.4 trillion in (annual) turnover. This is 53% of the total business turnover and means that SMEs provide around 16.7 million jobs!

Anthony recognises that businesses face challenges, and stresses that there is a lot of support available, funding options and courses to support them.
