Employers have a unique role to play in preparing our current and future workforce for the opportunities and challenges ahead. So this Skills Portal from New Anglia Growth Hub is designed to help our region’s employers access, understand and navigate all the local support, information and resources available to help get talent acquisition and development spot on.
Plus, we have two dedicated skills advisers, available to make a no cost visit your premises to guide you through the options available.
To begin, click on as many of the accompanying buttons as apply to you to explore the portal. You can also search using a keyword. Alternatively, call us on the number above to arrange an appointment with a skills adviser, or e-mail email@example.com.
Inspire includes activities designed to inspire the future workforce. This can be supporting initiatives which work directly with young people or those which support adults back in to work.
The youth end of this work is well supported by the public and voluntary sector but research has shown how powerful employer interventions are in encouraging the positive progression for students. If you are able to get involved, Norfolk and Suffolk has many existing ways to make the time you invest as effective as possible.
The adult side of work inspiration is linked more closely to projects around work and health and those supported by the DWP, and also includes individuals who for whatever reason may be ‘under employed’.
Recruit is the area that helps you to recruit employees to your business. We are not replacing a commercial recruitment service but focusing on cohorts which are not typical ‘job seekers’; this could include apprentices, graduates or interns and targeted groups such as ‘returners’ to the employment market.
Upskill is an area to promote opportunities for you to consider the requirements of your business both current and for the future and secure training to help your current workforce ‘upskill’ to better support your business. This could include funding opportunities or provision of specialist training aligned to your industry.
If some of the above services and programmes look useful to your organisation, use them as key words in the search bar above to see more details. Alternatively, call us on 0300 333 6356 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange a visit from a skills adviser who can help you find the best support to upskill your workforce.
If you’re unsure which services best suit you, Dean or David can guide you to the local service providers best placed to upskill your workforce
